Dr. Isaacs graduated from the Indiana University School of Dentistry, went to work at Procter & Gamble for three years, established a solo general practice in Bloomington, Indiana for 22 years, was with the IUSD Oral Health Research Institute for almost six years, was at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School for two years, and then returned part time to the IUSD through the present. successfully performed as a clinical examiner for caries (visual-tactile), gingivitis (two indices), plaque (three indices), stain (four indices), polish, erosion, and restoration integrity. He is a past president of the Indiana University School of Dentistry Alumni Association, the Indiana University School of Arts and Sciences Alumni Association, the South Central (Indiana) Dental Society and the Bloomington Dental Society. He has also served as president of the Indiana Section of the AADR and as secretary (four years) of the Cariology Group of the IADR.
